So, our national holiday (Sinterklaas) is over which means that it was finally time to put up the christmas tree. It’s like a unwritten rule that you’re not allowed to decorate your house before the 5th of december because that’s a holiday here in the Netherlands. But on saturday, on the 7th of december we finally put up the tree!
Together with my mom we went shopping for some new christmas ornaments since our old ones didn’t match our living room anymore. They were purple.. And now we got brown/golden/bronze ones. So that’s waaaay prettier.
While my mom and I were shopping my dad build the tree. Yes, we have a fake christmas tree… The real ones are more beautiful but they also make a big mess… When our (fake) tree was up we decorated it. With christmas music playing in the background and hot chocolate by our side, of course.
So yes, I’m completely in the mood for christmas right now! My christmas outfit is already waiting for me in my closet. Christmas really is my favorite holiday of the year so I can’t freaking wait anymore! But luckily it’s almost here, just one more week of my internship left before the holiday. And than I got two weeks off, you don’t know how happy that makes me! Watching a lot of Netflix while cuddled up in blankets and my christmas sweater, drinking hot tea and playing in the snow. Well I don’t think the last one’s going to happen, but a girl can dream right?
I don’t have a lot of plans for this vacation, besides celebrating christmas with my family (in law) and working at the supermarket for a couple of days. But the rest of the days are completely free, so that means that I’ll finally have some free time! Time to draw, blog, play the sims and take pictures (really running out of pics for on Instagram). Love it!
Oh and another really exciting thing: one of my best friends is coming back from her study abroad in Finland, so I finally get to see her again! So probably going to meet up a lot with her this vacation.
I’m feeling a whole lot better than I was a couple of weeks ago. And that’s all because of the upcoming holidays. They make me genuinely happy and give me some positive energy again. This internship made me lose myself a little bit…
So yes, that was a bit of a random blogpost but I’m just so happy that I really wanted to tell you about it all. And I would love to hear your plans for the holidays!
So please let me know in the comments or on Instagram, been very active on there lately!
